Reflecting on Your Core Values and Beliefs
Knowing who you are means understanding your values and beliefs. These can obviously change over time, but core values and beliefs define us.
Exploring what really matters to you can give you a clearer picture of who you are now and where you need to go. Surprisingly, many of us have not searched within for this information and may discover that we are, in fact, following the values of others instead of our own. This inevitably leads to feeling out of sync and over time leads to feelings of dissatisfaction.
Sit down and write a list of the most important things in your life: perhaps family, friends, being honest, physical fitness etc. Familiarising yourself with what is actually most important to you, will help you make decisions about your life that can lead to improved well-being and contentment.
